Paulsen Statement on Creation of Select Committee to Investigate Benghazi Attacks

Washington, D.C.– Congressman Erik Paulsen (MN-03) released the following statement after voting for legislation that will create a select committee to investigate the September 11, 2012 attacks on the American Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

“It’s been over a year and a half since the terrorist attacks in Benghazi resulted in the deaths of four brave Americans, yet details of that night still remain unclear. The formation of a select committee will bring us closer to finding answers for the families of the victims—along with the American public—and get to the bottom of what actually happened that fateful night to ensure that this can never happen again.”

Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation, serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, the bicameral Joint Economic Committee, and is co-chair of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus.
