Paulsen Speaks at Naturalization Ceremony
444 Become U.S. Citizens in Brooklyn Center

Brooklyn Center, MN - Today, Congressman Erik Paulsen (MN-03) attended and gave remarks at a Naturalization Ceremony in Brooklyn Center, where 444 people from 79 countries took the Oath of Allegiance and became U.S. citizens.  United States District Court Judge John R. Tunheim administered the oath at the ceremony, which coincided with President's Day week.

"It was inspiring to see the proud smiles of these new Americans who were excited to now be part of the greatest country in the world," said Paulsen.  "And I'm gratified to know we live in a country where people gather to celebrate our newest members. In America every citizen has the chance to achieve their goals, no matter what their background."

Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation, serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, the bicameral Joint Economic Committee, and is co-chair of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus.
