Paulsen: FDA Approval Process Must be Rigorous and Relevant

Paulsen Provision Included in House Passes FDA Reform Package

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Erik Paulsen (MN-03), member of the House Ways and Means Committee, took to the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives in support of the FDA user fee legislation which passed by a voice vote. Included in the package was a provision by Rep. Paulsen to streamline the third party review process which will free up valuable resources at the FDA. The legislation is scheduled for a Senate vote next week.

Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation, currently serves on the House Ways and Means Committee. He is co-chair of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus and the U.S.–Korea Free Trade Working Group.
