Paulsen Delivers Free Trade Speech During Special Order

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Erik Paulsen (MN-03), member of the House Ways & Means Committee, delivered the following speech last night during a special orderon the trade agreements with Columbia, Panama, and South Korea currently before Congress.

“Our three pending free trade agreements with Panama, South Korea and Colombia will level the playing field for American businesses, aid in our economic recovery and allow the United States to compete to win.”

“Over 90% of Minnesota’s trade-supported jobs come for the manufacturing sector, a true testament to the quality of Minnesota-made goods and the workers who produce them.”

“It’s time for Washington to set aside partisanship and move forward with these trade agreements so we can give our manufacturing sector a boost and help get our economy back on track.”

 

Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation currently serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, and is co-chair of the Congressional Korea-U.S. Free Trade Working Group and co-chair of the House Medical Technology Caucus.
