Paulsen Commends Senate and President Obama for Swift Action on Spending Cuts

Washington, DC– Rep. Erik Paulsen (MN-03) released the following statement after President Obama signed into law a measure that will keep the government running while cutting $4 billion in government spending:

"I commend President Obama for taking swift action by signing this critical legislation into law,” said Rep. Paulsen. “Today we’ve taken a first step towards working together to end wasteful Washington spending. Although this measure is in no way a permanent solution to our nation’s spending-driven debt crisis, it is my hope that this will lead to further bipartisan budget cuts down the road.”

Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation currently serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, and is co-chair of the Congressional Korea-U.S. Free Trade Working Group and co-chair of the House Medical Technology Caucus.
