Paulsen Applauds Passage of Free Trade Agreements in Ways & Means Committee

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Erik Paulsen (Mn-03), member of the House Ways & Means Committee, issued the following statement today after the long-stalled free trade agreements with Colombia, Panama, and South Korea, passed out of the Ways & Means Committee.

“Today we made an important step forward in implementing no-cost, pro-growth, trade policies.  By passing these three free trade agreements, we will reduce barriers in three countries, giving Minnesota companies the opportunity to find new customers for their products so they can expand and start hiring again. With our national unemployment rate at 9.1%, it is important that we continue to support common sense, pro-growth, solutions that remove barriers and get Americans back to work.”
