Warrensburg – U.S. Rep. Vicky Hartzler will host her fourth Missouri Business Conference at the University of Central Missouri from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The conference is designed to unite small business owners with students and other aspiring entrepreneurs. More than two dozen entrepreneurs are scheduled to take part in this year’s event.

“Conferences of this kind provide an opportunity for current business owners to learn the best practice techniques to help strengthen their businesses,” Hartzler said. “At the same time, young entrepreneurs are given access to the expertise from business leaders who are running successful enterprises, generating revenues and creating jobs.”

The conferences allow businesses to discuss challenges.

“Previous Missouri Business Conferences have shed light on many of the problems faced by entrepreneurs, including the federal government’s onerous regulations,” Hartzler said. “Stories told by overburdened entrepreneurs are valuable as they provide me with the information I need as I work toward making changes in Washington to help businesses to flourish and grow our economy.”

UCM regularly hosts the event.

“I thank the University of Central Missouri and UCM President Chuck Ambrose for hosting this event,” added Hartzler. “I am pleased that so many small business owners and entrepreneurs are taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas.”
