  • Paulsen Legislation Honoring National Parks Passes House of Representatives

    Washington, D.C.– Legislation authored by Congressman Erik Paulsen (MN-03) to mint coins honoring the 100th anniversary of the National Parks Service was approved in a vote by the U.S. House of Representatives. The bill, which passed the House in an earlier vote in April, was included as a provision in the National Defense Authorization Act. Proceeds will go to the National Park Foundation, a charitable organization that supports the management of national parks. Minted coins will consist of a five dollar gold coin, a silver dollar, and a clad half dollar.

  • Paulsen Appointed to Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee

    Washington, D.C.– Congressman Erik Paulsen (MN-03) has been appointed to the Ways and Means Subcommittee on Trade for the 114th Congress. The Trade Subcommittee oversees bills involving reciprocal trade agreements, tariff provisions, and other policies relating to importing and exporting. The Subcommittee plays a vital role in trade matters, including guiding current negotiations for trade agreements such as the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Congressman Paulsen is also co-chair of the bipartisan TTIP Caucus.
