Yoho Wants Balance Between Security And Liberty

May 30, 2014
Press Release

Washington D.C. – Congressman Ted Yoho (R-FL-03) voted no on H.R. 4681, the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Years 2014 and 2015.

The Congressman released the following statement after his vote:

“The Intelligence community plays a vital role in our national security. However, America’s intelligence operations need to have more oversight and transparency, not less. Unfortunately, today's intelligence bill continues policies that perpetuate a status quo in an intelligence community that desperately needs reform. If our nation is going to be worthy of the sacrifices of our forefathers, we need to stay true to their desire for a country that balances liberty and security, not one that sacrifices the former for the latter.”
