Washington, D.C. – Congressman George Holding (NC-13) released the following statement in regards to the president’s increasing regulations, after a recent report stated the Obama administration may issue more than $34 billion in new regulations after the November election:
“North Carolinians are struggling to make ends meet, so naturally I’m concerned about the report on the president’s new regulations that are set to be implemented after the November election.
“Successful businesses are the key to creating jobs – yet they continue to face hundreds of extraneous rules and regulations – from Medicare changes to ice maker standards. Burdening them with additional regulations will mean fewer jobs and less opportunity for the people in my district.
“The last thing we need is more regulations and heavier burdens placed on the backs of businesses and people in North Carolina.”
