Ron Barber stood today with his colleagues from the Arizona delegation in a bipartisan move to appropriate $1 million to the Veterans Affairs Office of Inspector General so that the office may investigate allegations of health care mismanagement within the VA, such as those at the Phoenix VA Health Care System.

Congressman says he will escort inspectors into Mexico if that is what it takes
TUCSON – U.S. Rep. Ron Barber today announced that he has received confirmation from the U.S. Department of Agriculture that it will resume inspecting U.S.-bound cattle south of Agua Prieta, Mexico by May 19 once measures are put in place to protect inspectors. The inspections were halted in January because of drug-related violence.
