YOHO VOTES IN FAVOR OF BI-PARTISAN APPROPRIATIONS BILL

Press Release
BILL PROVIDES BUDGET STABILITY AND FUNDS IMPORTANT PROGRAMS

This week, Congressman Yoho voted in favor of the FY 14 Consolidated Approprations Act.

After the vote Congressman Yoho said, “This legislation amends the Ryan-Murray Agreement to ensure that medically retired veterans and survivor benefit plan recipients receive their full pensions. While changes to federal pensions are needed, they should not affect disabled heroes who fought valiantly for their nation. Additionally, this bill prevents the Secretary of Health and Human Services from using an egregious slush fund to fund the Affordable Care Act, provides a troop pay increase, provides funding for veteran services, requires reports on DHS ammunition use, limits data collection by the NSA, and dramatically cuts the EPA’s ability to produce egregious regulations. By providing stable funding for the remainder of the year, we end fiscal crisis governing which has led to our trillions of dollars in debt.”
