The Senate Budget Committee's Government Performance Task Force was established in 2009 to support the Committee's monitoring and oversight capacity. The Task Force is charged with examining the information base for decision-making in Congress and identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of federal programs and services.
