The Senate Budget for fiscal year 2014 is focused on three priorities: creating jobs, investing in economic growth, and tackling our deficit and debt responsibly.
It takes a balanced and fair approach to our fiscal challenges to include responsible spending cuts made across the federal budget and eliminates loopholes and wasteful spending in the tax code that benefit the wealthiest Americans and biggest corporations.
The only way we can meet our country’s fiscal and economic goals is if we promote policies that support a strong and growing middle class. This budget keeps the promises we have made to our seniors, our families, and our communities.
This budget reflects the values of a diverse Senate serving a diverse nation, and it is guided by the principles and priorities that are strongly supported by the constituents we were elected to represent.
