BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — More than 90 soldiers from the North Dakota National Guard have returned home to North Dakota.

Family and friends welcomed the soldiers with the North Dakota National Guard's 818th Engineer Company during a ceremony Friday in Bismarck.

The Soldiers had been deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring from June 2012 to March 2013. They served as combat engineers.

Two members of the company did not return. Sgt. 1st Class Darren Linde and Spc. Tyler Orgaard were killed in action on Dec. 3. A third soldier, Spc. Ian Placek, was wounded in the attack and recently returned to Bismarck to continue his recovery.
