MONTCLAIR, CA - Today, Congresswoman Gloria Negrete McLeod (D-Chino) released an “Annual Report to the Community” highlighting accomplishments for the 2013 year as a member of Congress:

“The 2013 year was filled with many accomplishments for California’s 35th Congressional District,” explained Negrete McLeod.  “My Washington and District offices had a successful year helping hundreds of constituents resolve issues with the federal government and as a result saved Inland residents thousands of dollars.  Inland residents are encouraged to contact the district office if they are in need of assistance with a federal agency.”

The report provides an overview of Congresswoman Negrete McLeod’s work on constituent services along with legislative accomplishments.  Notable accomplishments include: Congresswoman Gloria Negrete McLeod’s office saving over a quarter of a million taxpayer dollars in her annual budget as a member of Congress through efficient day-to-day budgeting practices, and Congresswoman Negrete McLeod’s offices responding to more than 8,000 constituents who contacted her office.

“The duty of any member of Congress is to represent the best interests of his or her constituency while ensuring that tax dollars are being spent wisely.  2013 was a productive year and together, we can make 2014 a dynamic year as well.  It is an honor to represent you in Congress and I thank all the residents who reached out to my office to express their opinion on issues facing Congress,” concluded Negrete McLeod.

The dollars saved from Congresswoman Negrete McLeod’s budget will return to the U.S. Treasury to help pay down the national debt.
