Brunswick County Business Incubator Receives Federal Funding

September 19, 2013

Dear Friends,

Right here at home, Brunswick County Community College has received $200,000 in federal funding to finance the construction of a small business incubator. The incubator will help entrepreneurs and small-business startups with a low-cost option to locate, help grow their business, and create jobs.

Congressman McIntyre speaks with employees of the parent company of RTMLITE USA, the first company to occupy a space in the new business incubator
RTMLITE USA, which produces fins for surfboards, will be the first company to occupy a space in the business incubator. The company saw an opportunity to produce surfboard fins in North Carolina rather than China, and the business incubator is helping RTMLITE USA bring jobs home!

There is no more important goal than crossing the finish line for more jobs and I will continue to work with communities in Eastern North Carolina to create jobs, and get folks back to work.
