Our nation's businesses are a vital component of our national economy and must be afforded every opportunity to prosper, grow, and create jobs. In an effort to give community business leaders the opportunity to meet with federal government officials and discuss policies, which may affect your livelihood and your community, I invite you to my fifteenth annual North Carolina Business & Economic Development Summit.
This year's event, entitled "Taking Care of Business," will be on Monday, September 9th, and Tuesday, September 10th. Both days' events will be held in Washington, D.C., in the Capitol Visitors Center. This widely-attended summit draws hundreds of North Carolina business leaders. Speakers and special guests include Aaron Syrett, Director of the North Carolina Film Office, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx, NBC Chief White House Correspondent, Chuck Todd, Senator Richard Burr and Senator Kay Hagan.
