Washington D.C. – Congressman Kevin McCarthy today congratulated local cadets and midshipmen on their graduation from the U.S. Service Academies.
“I applaud the Cal UAS Portal for its recent submission to the FAA. There is still work to be done, but with the technical expertise, remote location, controlled airspace, and diverse climate and terrain, I believe the Cal UAS Portal is a great candidate in this endeavor. East Kern County and I are united and I look forward to continuing to work with the community in support of this effort.”
Washington D.C. – Congressman Kevin McCarthy yesterday announced eight students from the 23rd Congressional District that will attend one of the United States Service Academies in the fall. Seven were nominated by McCarthy, and one was the recipient of a presidential nomination. He honored them at a reception in his Bakersfield Office on Monday, May 27, 2013.

Winners and participants will be honored at a reception on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Metro Galleries in Bakersfield from 6:00-7:00 PM.
