2nd Amendment

As a member of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, it is my belief the 2nd Amendment must be upheld. The United Nations is attempting to pass a Small Arms Treaty, which would restrict the ability of small arms to be sold worldwide. I strongly oppose this treaty, which is why I sponsored H.CON.RES.23 which urges President Obama not to sign this treaty if it is passed by the United Nations assembly in addition to urging the senate to not ratify the treaty. This treaty represents a vast overreach of power by the United Nations, and the United States cannot stand for it.

It is my pledge that I will work to keep the constitutionally guaranteed right to keep and bear arms from being infringed upon.
