Rep. McKinley Returns over $100K from Office Budget to U.S. Treasury

Washington, D.C.—Today, Rep. David B. McKinley, P.E. (R-WV), announced he returned more than $115,000 from his Congressional office budget to the U.S. Treasury in 2013. All told, Rep. McKinley has returned more than $365,000 since taking office.

“Since 2011, we have focused on providing excellent service to the First District while being responsible with the taxpayer’s money,” said Rep. McKinley. “That requires developing a lean and efficient operation to work for the people of West Virginia.”

“Hard working families have to do more with less these days,” added McKinley. “We can do the same. Because our office has made fiscal responsibility a priority, we’re giving money back, just as we have each year.”
