WASHINGTON, DC ­ Tomorrow, Congressman Filemon Vela (D-TX) will attend the 1st Annual Congressional Veterans Summit. The Summit is a free event for all South Texas Veterans and their families.

Rep. Vela, in collaboration with the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College, have worked together to provide South Texas Veterans with a one-stop shop to visit with veteran friendly employers and organizations. Valley Baptist Health System will be providing Veterans with blood sugar checks, foot screenings,
