Staff members from U.S. Rep. Scott DesJarlais' office will have office hours Thursday, Oct. 17, at the Bedford County Courthouse to assist constituents who need help dealing with federal programs or agencies. The staffers will be available from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. that day. They are also available any day at DesJarlais' field offices in Columbia, Murfreesboro, Cleveland and Winchester.

“The people of Tennessee’s Fourth Congressional District are overwhelmingly opposed to the president’s health care law and have been vocal in asking me to hold the line in preventing its implementation.
Today the United States Senate passed a continuing resolution stripping the House provision defunding the Affordable Care Act (ACA). This legislation will now head over to the United States House of Representatives to be voted on over the weekend. Congressman Scott DesJarlais, M.D. (R-TN-04) released the following statement:
Republican Sens.
