Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice

The Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice has jurisdiction over all matters concerning the United States Constitution, including amendments and constitutional rights. This subcommittee also has jurisdiction over federal civil rights, ethics in government, tort liability, including medical malpractice and product liability, legal reform generally, other appropriate matters as referred by the chairman, and similar relevant matters.

Over-Criminalization Task Force Resolution of 2013

The Over-Criminalization Task Force Resolution of 2013 will conduct investigations and hearings on over-criminalization issues within the committee on the Judiciary's Rule X jurisdiction, and may issue reports to the committee detailing its findings and recommendations.
