Veterans Resource Day

As the son of a World War II veteran, I believe it is of the upmost importance that we honor the service and sacrifice of our men and women in the United States military. Our veterans deserve the deep appreciation of our country as well as access to high-quality health care. We continue to hear stories about veterans not receiving the care they need due to mismanagement throughout the VA. The reality of our heroes not getting the care they’ve earned is unacceptable to me.
 
OH-14 veterans, I want to hear directly from you and help you get the care you deserve. Please join me at Willoughby Hills Community Center, located at 35400 Chardon Road, this Friday from 8:30 am until noon for our Veterans Resource Day. At the event, I will be joined by representatives from my staff as well as the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, Lake County VA community-based outpatient clinics, the Lake County Veterans Service Commission, Tricare and the Veterans Benefit Office. You will have the opportunity to discuss your experiences with the VA and issues with the current system, learn how to file a VA claim, check the status of current VA claims and gather information on additional VA programs.
