(Washington, DC) On Monday, November 21, Congressman John Yarmuth will host his Veterans Jobs and Resources Fair. At the event, veterans and active duty military in Louisville will have the opportunity to meet with more than 25 local employers with job openings while also getting help and information about the benefits available to them.

“The men and women who fight to protect our country overseas should never have to battle to provide for their families when they get home – but far too many veterans are struggling to get the jobs they need and the benefits they have earned,” said Congressman John Yarmuth.  “This event will connect Louisville veterans to new job opportunities and other resources to help them build strong successful futures.”

In addition to the employers in attendance at the event, veterans and active duty military will have the opportunity to learn more about job training programs, compensation and pension claims, health coverage enrollment, and mortgage information from representatives of state and national veterans organizations.

Hosted in conjunction with KentuckianaWorks, Louisville Metro Government, the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training, the VA Medical Center at Zorn Avenue, and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, Congressman Yarmuth’s event is free and open to all residents of the 3^rd Congressional District.
