Rep. David B. McKinley (R-WV) received the Silver Good Citizenship Medal from the Sons of the American Revolution. The award is presented to individuals for outstanding and unusual patriotic achievement and service.

“This award is especially meaningful because of the values and traditions my family still holds dear, including our love for this country and commitment to public service,” said Rep. McKinley. “This organization upholds true patriotism and respect for our national symbols, which is surely lacking these days. It’s an honor to receive this recognition.”

Rep. McKinley was the keynote speaker at the Sons of the American Revolution meeting on Sunday at the Parkersburg Country Club in Vienna, W.Va., where he was also inducted into the Sons of American Revolution along with several family members.
