Congresswoman Beatty Statement on Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) released the following statement on the thirteenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
“Thirteen years ago our nation stood in awe, heartbroken at the thousands of lives we lost due to senseless acts of terrorism on our homeland. My most heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the fallen victims, brave heroes and resilient survivors of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
“I salute our noble men and women in uniform whose commitment to protect the United States has been demonstrated in their service at home and abroad. I will continue to work to ensure that our servicemembers and veterans, their families, and their survivors get the care and benefits they need and deserve.
“As we pause today to reflect, remember, and pray let us honor the fallen and their sacrifices. It is my hope that together we create a world full of liberty, justice, and perpetual peace.”
