Chrystal Foster -- Fellow

Chrystal Foster comes from a family with a long history of military service.

As a Tactical Data Systems Administrator in the U.S. Marine Corps, Foster served three tours in Iraq during her almost 11 years in uniform.

She learned about the Wounded Warrior Program through a link on the Department of Veterans Facebook page and was selected for assignment as a Veterans Case Worker in the Annville, Pa., office of Congressman Charlie Dent.

Foster keeps busy with a heavy case work load and numerous monthly veterans’ outreach events.

She draws great satisfaction from helping older veterans obtain the benefits they desperately need.   The impact of her experiences in veterans’ advocacy has inspired her to change her Master Degree course of study from Social Work to a focus on Management and Financial Planning with the hope of eventually influencing the policies that affect veterans and their families.
