Christopher Hainsworth - Graduate

Inspired by his 90-year-old grandfather, a U.S. Army veteran who participated in the D Day invasion of Normandy, Christopher Hainsworth wanted to find adventure while serving his country. He realized that dream by serving in the United States Air Force.

After his service, Hainsworth participated in the Department of Veterans Affairs Vocational Rehabilitation program. There, he learned about the U.S. House of Representatives Wounded Warrior Program from a fellow veteran. Eventually he applied, and in December 2011, he was hired as a Constituent Case Worker for Congresswoman Grace Napolitano where he successfully served the constituents of California’s 32nd District for 2 years.

Despite the demands of the job, Hainsworth made time to return to graduate school to obtain his Masters in Public Administration.   Upon the completion of his 2 year fellowship in November 2013, Hainsworth accepted a position with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services branch of the Department of Homeland Security.
