Senior Citizens
Our nation's growing debt continues to be one of the most serious issues facing Congress. Congressman McKinley believes that we need to cut spending, balance our budget and reduce our debt, while protecting the benefits that our seniors have worked their entire lives to earn.
Congressman McKinley has voted against his own party's budget because the plan would have nearly doubled out-of-pocket healthcare costs for future retirees. That's unacceptable.
Congressman McKinley has also co-sponsored bipartisan legislation to stop Washington from raiding the Social Security and Medicare trust funds, and opposes President Obama's payroll plan, which 'would take a $240 billion bite our of Social Security revenues in 2012,' according to the Associated Press.
