“The most transparent administration in history”

Communications • November 13, 2014

The worst kept secret is out.

The Obama adminstration – which once touted itself as the most transparent administration in history – relied on a lack of transparency to pass its trainwreck of a health care law.

Hear the comments from Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber:

This quote says all you need to know about Obamacare and the administration that rammed it through Congress:

“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, call it the ‘stupidity of the American voter’ or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical to getting the thing to pass.”

Tuesday on Fox News, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) gave an appropriate response when asked to comment on Gruber’s remarks:

From Obamacare to IRS targeting to “missing” hard drives, this administration has repeatedly attempted to pull the wool over the eyes of the very people it represents.

Contrast that to the Republican-led House of Representatives.

Since taking over the majority, House Republicans have worked hard to open up government and earn the trust of the American people. Here are just a few examples where House Republicans have embraced a truly open government:

In addition, the House has taken major legislative steps to make government more open and transparent:

More transparency. More openness. More trust.

Not so with the Obama administration.
