Our office can assist with arranging several popular tours for residents of the 4th district in South Carolina. Tours of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol, and the White House are granted on a first-come, first served basis. These tours are free and open to the public. Please keep in mind that each institution has a different tour office with different hours and procedures. Admittance is determined by the individual tour site or agency and not by our office.

Bureau of Engraving and Printing

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing grants special requests for advanced tour reservations made through the office of your U.S. Representative. These tours are granted on a first-come, first-served basis and take place Monday through Friday at 8:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. April through August additional tour times are added every 15 minutes from 4:00 p.m. through 4:45 p.m.

Pentagon

Tours of the Pentagon are granted by the Pentagon Tour Office on a first-come, first-served basis beginning 90 days and up to 7 days in advance of a tour date. Pentagon tours take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

U.S. Capitol

Tours of the U.S. Capitol are granted by the Capitol Visitors Center on a first-come, first-served basis beginning 5 months in advance. Capitol tours take place Monday through Saturday from 8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.

White House:

Tours of the White House are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis by the White House Visitors Office, and requests must be made a minimum of 21 days in advance of your desired tour date. The White House requires that you provide your date of birth, social security number and city of residence to process your tour request. Tours are conducted between 7:30 am to 12:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday.
