Rep. Jim Renacci (OH-16) today released the below statement after he was appointed to the Ways & Means Subcommittees on Select Revenue Measures and Social Security.

“I am pleased I was appointed to the Select Revenue Measures and Social Security Subcommittees,” said Renacci. “As a CPA and former small business owner for nearly 30 years, I understand just how critical it is that we reform our overly burdensome tax system to make it simpler, fairer, and more competitive. Just as important, we must take the necessary steps to preserve Social Security for current and future beneficiaries. I look forward to working with Chairman Paul Ryan and playing an active role in achieving comprehensive tax reform and working toward a stronger, more sustainable Social Security system for Ohioans.”
