Senator: Appeals Court Got Gay Marriage Ban Wrong

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSPD) -- A week after a federal appeals court upheld Ohio's constitutional definition of marriage as "one man and one woman" the state's Democrat in the U.S. Senate, Sherrod Brown, sounded off.

"I don't understand these ivory tower judges who are offended because somebody loves somebody and wants to marry her or him," Brown said.

He blasted Judge Jeffrey Sutton, who wrote for the majority that  a decision on the issue should come from state lawmakers or voters and not the courts.
