Chabot Statement on Israel
On Thursday, Rep. Steve Chabot (OH-01) released the following statement regarding the attacks on Israel:
“In the last few days, terrorists have launched more than 200 rocket attacks on Israel, targeting major population centers. Hamas has released propaganda videos threatening even more attacks. I strongly support Israel’s right to defend itself from these cold-blooded acts of terrorism. I have been a longtime supporter of Iron Dome, which has intercepted dozens of rockets this week. And I support Operation Protective Edge -- Israel’s self defense strategy to end the rocket fire and restore security. Israel has every right to stand up and protect its people from Hamas aggression and I urge the Obama Administration to stand with our great friend and ally at this critical time.” Rep. Chabot is a senior Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and former Chairman of the Middle East Subcommittee. ###
