Committees

In the 113th Congress, Congressman Steve Chabot continues to serve on the following three committees:

House Committee on the Judiciary:

The House Judiciary Committee has a wide-ranging jurisdiction, from legislation pertaining to judicial proceedings, Constitutional amendments, immigration policy, and patents and copyrights.

Subcommittees:

  Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice  

  Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property and the Internet

House Committee on Small Business:

The Small Business Committee considers legislation to assist and protect small businesses. The committee also has oversight over the Small Business Administration and its various programs.

Subcommittees:

 Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax and Capital Access

 Subcommittee on Investigations, Oversight and Regulations

 

House Committee on Foreign Affairs:

The House Foreign Affairs Committee (formerly the Committee on International Relations) is responsible for legislation and oversight related to the United States’ foreign assistance.

Subcommittees:

               Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific, Chairman

               Subcommittee on the Middle East and North Africa
