Discusses National Security Issues With Secretary Hagel and Top Pentagon Leaders

U.S. Congressman Mike McIntyre, a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee, discusses national security issues with Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel. 

McIntyre visited the Pentagon yesterday for a series of meetings with top Department of Defense officials including General James Amos, Commandant of the Marine Corps; Lt. Gen. Bradley Heithold, Vice Commander for U.S. Special Operations Command; General Larry Spencer, Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force; and Mr. Thomas Oppel, Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Navy. 

Eastern North Carolina is home to key national security installations, and McIntyre serves on key House Armed Services Subcommittees including Seapower and Projection Forces as well as Tactical Air and Land Forces.
