Internships
An internship in Congressman Matt Salmon’s Washington DC or Arizona office provides a unique opportunity to receive hands-on experience for college students who are interested in government, politics and public service. Internship candidates can expect a positive, fast-paced environment where they can learn and develop research, communicative, and leadership skills.
Interns will learn through a variety of responsibilities, including leading Capitol tours, communicating with constituents, assisting staff members with legislative and research duties, and various administrative tasks. Congressman Salmon’s office is seeking college students who are loyal, hard-working, and eager to learn about the legislative and government process.
Preference will go to college students who have completed at least the freshman equivalent of coursework. Internships are unpaid, but provide invaluable experience and college credit can be arranged. Internships are available for spring, summer, and fall semesters.
