  • Operation AmeriCorps – The Operation AmeriCorps competition has two funding priorities. The first priority focuses on specific post-secondary outcomes for students.   • Stepping-up Technology Implementation – The purposes of the Educational Technology, Media, and Materials for Individuals with Disabilities Program are to: (1) Improve results for students with disabilities by promoting the development, demonstration, and use of technology; (2) support educational activities designed to be of educational value in the classroom for students with disabilities; (3) provide support for captioning and video description that is appropriate for use in the classroom; and (4) provide accessible educational materials to students with disabilities in a timely manner.   • Performance Partnership Pilots – The Performance Partnership Pilots (P3) program, will enable up to ten pilot sites to test innovative, outcome-focused strategies to achieve significant improvements in educational, employment, and other key outcomes (1) for disconnected youth (2) using new flexibility to blend (3) existing Federal funds and to seek waivers (4) of associated program requirements.   • Wildlife Restoration Grant Program – The Wildlife Restoration Grant Program provides funding for the selection, restoration, rehabilitation, and improvement of wildlife habitat; wildlife management research; wildlife population surveys and inventories; land acquisition; hunter education and safety programs; coordination; development of facilities; facilities and services for conducting a hunter education and safety programs; and provisions for public use of wildlife resources.   • Sport Fish Restoration – The Sport Fish Restoration grant provides Federal grant funding for land acquisition, boating access development, research projects, operations and maintenance of public fishing areas, hatchery and lake construction and maintenance, sport fish population management, fishing habitat improvements, coordination projects, and aquatic resource education.   • Land and Water Conservation Fund State and Local Assistance Program – The LWCF Program provides matching grants to States and local governments for the acquisition and development of public outdoor recreation areas and facilities.   • USDA TAT Grant Program – The Technical Assistance and Training (TAT) Grant Program has been established to assist communities with water or wastewater systems through free technical assistance and/or training provided by the grant recipients. Qualified private non-profit organizations will receive TAT grant funds to identify and evaluate solutions to water and waste disposal problems in rural areas, assist applicants in preparing applications for water and waste grants made at the State level offices, and improve operation and maintenance of existing water and waste disposal facilities in rural areas.   • Museums, Libraries, and Cultural Organizations – Museums, Libraries, and Cultural Organizations grants provide support for museums, libraries, historic places, and other organizations that produce public programs in the humanities. Planning grants support the early stages of project development, including consultation with scholars, refinement of humanities themes, preliminary design, testing, and audience evaluation.   • Marine Education and Training Mini Grant Program – Pacific Islands Region Marine Education and Training Mini-Grant Program projects are being solicited to improve communication, education, and training on marine resource issues throughout the region and increase scientific education for marine-related professions among coastal community residents, including indigenous Pacific islanders, Native Hawaiians and other underrepresented groups.   • Marine National Monument Program – NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service is soliciting proposals for the FY 2015 NOAA’s Marine National Monument Program Grants Funding Opportunity. In 2009, three Marine National Monuments were designated by Presidential Proclamation to protect the relatively undisturbed marine ecosystems that are flourishing with healthy coral reefs, large numbers of apex predators, fish biomass, and seabirds. Management plans for the Marianas Trench MNM, Rose Atoll MNM, and Pacific Remote Islands MNM are in preparation.   • Assistance to Firefighters Grants – The purpose of the AFG is to award grants directly to fire departments, non-affiliated Emergency Medical Services organizations, and state fire training academies that are unaffiliated with a hospital to enhance their ability to protect the health and safety of the public, as well as that of first-responder personnel. Using a competitive process that is overseen by fire service subject matter experts, grants are awarded to applicants whose requests best address the priorities of the AFG Program.   • PHMSA Hazmat Grants – The Department of Transportation, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration’s Supplemental Public Sector Training Grants is open to a national nonprofit fire service organization for the purpose of training instructors to conduct hazardous materials response training programs for individuals with statutory responsibility to respond to hazardous materials accidents and incidents.   • Hazardous Materials Instructor Training – The HMIT Grants Program is open to a nonprofit organization that demonstrates expertise in conducting a training program for hazmat employees; and the ability to reach and involve in a training program a target population of hazmat employees.   • Cooperative Endangered Species Conservation Fund – The Cooperative Endangered Species Conservation Fund provides funding for species and habitat conservation actions on non-Federal lands. Four grant programs are available through the CESCF including the Traditional Conservation Grants and the Nontraditional Habitat Conservation Plan Land Acquisition, Habitat Conservation Planning Assistance, and Recovery Land Acquisition Grants.   • Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics Education, Outreach, and Workforce Program – The Office of Naval Research seeks proposals for developing innovative solutions that directly support the development and maintenance of a robust STEM workforce.   • WHIAAPI Internship Program – The White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders offers full-time internships during the spring, summer, and fall. Interns at the Initiative are responsible for assisting the staff on a wide range of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) issues and priorities, including capacity-building, civil rights, data disaggregation, economic development, education, health, immigration, language access, and workforce diversity. Interns will help write policy memos and proposals, draft blogs, assist with communications and social media, coordinate and staff events, and conduct outreach to national and local AAPI organizations and leaders.   • National Clean Plant Network Request for Applications – The National Clean Plant Network provides funding to projects that establish clean plant network governance, related administrative and support systems; that conduct methods to accurately test, develop therapies, and support the establishment of guidelines and standards for different crop species for certification maintenance; that develop partnerships with land-grant and other university-based extension and state departments of agriculture and outreach services to interact with commercial nurseries, industry associations and producers.   • Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program – The Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program provides support for independent graduate-level studies in oceanography, marine biology, or maritime archaeology (including all science, engineering, social science and resource management of ocean and coastal areas), and particularly encourages women and minorities to apply.   • National Digital Newspaper Program – National Endowment for the Humanities is soliciting proposals from institutions to participate in the National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP). NDNP is creating a national digital resource of historically significant newspapers published between 1836 and 1922, from all the states and U.S. territories.   • Maintenance Assistance Program – MAP funding is used to support, develop, improve and, as much as possible, institutionalize infrastructure maintenance practices in the seven insular areas. This is the only OIA program that has specific legislative authority to require a matching contribution from the insular government.   • Coral Reef Conservation Cooperative Agreements – This grant will support important fishing and tourism industries, protect coasts from wave and storm damage, build tropical islands, contain an array of potential pharmaceuticals, and provide local communities with a source of food, materials and traditional activities.   • State Wildlife Grant Program – The State Wildlife Grant Program provides federal grant funds for the development and implementation of programs for the benefit of wildlife and their habitat, including species that are not hunted or fished.   • BioWatch Program – The BioWatch Program is an early warning system that is designed to detect the intentional release of select aerosolized biological agents. The BioWatch Program’s mission is to provide and maintain a continuous bio-terrorism air monitoring system in metropolitan areas and coordinate with state and local public health communities to prepare for and respond to a bioterrorist event. This mission is accomplished by serving as an early warning system which enhances the security of jurisdictions by providing the needed time to execute their comprehensive concept of operations plans to counter biological terrorism.
