If you are planning on visiting Washington D.C., Congressman Larson's office will be more than happy to assist you in arranging tours to various locations around the city. Please note that tour space is limited and not all requests can be accommodated.
Although each location has different requirements for visitors, the earlier our office receives a tour request gives us a better chance of reserving any given tour. Keep in mind that most tour locations are open to the public and there are still opportunities to take the same tours without scheduling them through Congressman Larson's office.

The White House
White House Tours must be requested 1 - 6 months in advance of your visit. The White House accepts tours on a first come, first serve basis and is frequently unable to accommodate requests due to an extremely high demand for a limited amount of space. The earlier you submit your request, the better chance you will have.
Once a request is placed, the White House will notify my office about 2 weeks before your scheduled visit as to whether or not they are able to accommodate your tour. White House tours are self-guided, last approximately 45 minutes, and run between 7:30 am to 11:30 am, Tuesday through Saturday.
If you are interested in a White House tour please note that you will be prompted to provide security information to our office (required by the Secret Service) in order to submit a tour request. This is mandatory for us to begin the process of scheduling a tour, and will require the name and date of birth for everyone on the tour. For guests under 18 on the date of the tour, a Social Security Number is not required.

The U.S. Capitol
The United States Capitol is among the most architecturally symbolic buildings in the world and the new Capitol Visitor Center offers the public an opportunity to tour this historic structure. The Capitol is open to the public for guided tours only. Tours are conducted from 8:50 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Saturday. The Capitol building is open on all Federal holidays except Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.
You can book advance tickets online at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center website or by contacting Congressman Larson's office. A limited number of same-day passes are available each day at the Information Desks in Emancipation Hall on the lower level of the Visitor Center.
Please stop by Congressman Larson's office in 1501 Longworth House Office Building to pick up passes if you would like to visit the gallery of the House of Representatives. Visiting the House gallery is separate from the Capitol tour.

The Library of Congress
Congressional tours of the Library of Congress are held Monday through Friday at 8:30am, 1:45pm, and 3:45pm. A maximum of 10 people are permitted on the tour. Space on these tours is limited so constituents are encouraged to place requests well in advance.
Additionally, unreserved public tours are available Monday through Saturday every hour on the half hour from 10:30am-3:30pm.
The Jefferson Building is open to the public 8:30am to 4:30p.m, Monday through Saturday.

The Supreme Court
Through our office, a limited number of Congressional Lectures are available that provide an overview of the function of the Supreme Court and the architecture of the Supreme Court Building.
Congressional lectures take place Monday through Friday at 2:00 pm when the Court is not hearing arguments. Lectures can have no more than 6 people per group. Because there are a limited number of Congressional lectures, reservations are subject to availability.
The Supreme Court building is open Monday through Friday 9:00am to 4:30pm except for federal holidays. Public lectures are held every hour on the half-hour, on days that the Court is not sitting, beginning at 9:30 am and concluding at 3:30 pm Please make sure to call before visiting as the public visiting hours are subject to change.

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing
Reserved Congressional tours of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing can be obtained through Congressman Larson's office. Please note that Congressional tours fill up quickly, especially during the spring and summer, and it is recommended that tour requests are placed as early as possible.
Public tours are also available, and are shown the same tours and curtseys as the reserved tours. Tickets are required, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The ticket booth is located on Raoul Wallenberg Place (formerly 15th Street) and offers same day tickets for tours leaving every 15 minutes during morning, afternoon, and evening windows. The Ticket Booth opens at 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday, and closes when all tickets have been distributed.

National Archives
Guided tours of the National Archives are given once a day, Monday through Friday, at 9:45am. For self-guided tours, entrance times can be reserved at various times throughout the day. Reservations can be made through Congressman Larson's office or directly with the National Archives by calling (202) 357-5450.

Kennedy Center of Performing Arts
The Kennedy Center of Performing Arts gives guided Congressional tours on Monday through Friday at 9:30am and 4:30pm, and at 9:30am on weekends. Tours last one hour and include visits to the Presidential boxes and private lounges that are not open to the general public. Tours are given every day except the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.

Washington National Cathedral
Congressional tours of the Cathedral can be arranged through our office. The tour is an ‘enhanced Highlights Tour’, exploring the history, mission, and “must see” aspects of Cathedral art and architecture. The tour takes place before the Cathedral is open to the general public.
The tour is offered to individuals and families of up to 12 people on Mondays and Wednesdays at 9 am The Cathedral does ask for a contribution of $5 per adult, $3 per senior/student/military or $15 per family.
Note: No constituent tours are offered during the entire month of January, Ash Wednesday, Independence Day, the day before Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day.
