I support a responsible, comprehensive "all-of-the-above" approach to secure our energy independence and transform the way we power our nation. Promoting energy independence will unleash American technological innovation, research and development, create jobs and strengthen our national security.
America needs to build a clean energy future based on renewable energy sources including wind, solar, biofuels, nuclear and geothermal. America’s future economic prosperity will rely on an economy based on energy independence achieved by maximizing alternative energy technologies. America must foster an academic and economic environment where these sciences and resources are able to thrive and compete.
America needs to responsibly develop and maximize its existing energy resources such a natural gas, coal, and traditional fossil fuel production while taking responsible steps to protect our water and air. I will continue working hard to promote measures that will increase energy efficiency and incentivize Americans to make their homes and businesses more sustainable for the future. Promoting energy efficiency is the easiest, most immediate course to saving consumers and small businesses money, and it will create jobs that can’t be outsourced.
