Udall Calls on All Coloradans to Honor Colorado's Heroes on Veterans Day
Mark Udall, who serves on the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee, urged all Coloradans today on Veterans Day to thank our nation's heroes for their service.
"We owe a debt of gratitude to our veterans for the sacrifices they have made defending our freedom. From the veterans of World War II to the heroes of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, these men and women demonstrated time and again the selfless service that has protected and defined our nation for generations," Udall said. "This Veterans Day, let's all take the time to not only thank our heroes, but also to remember the sacrifices they have made."
Udall has been an unrelenting champion for Colorado veterans. He successfully worked to ensure Western Slope veterans had ready access to essential surgical procedures for which they previously had to travel long distances, he pressed the VA Inspector General to investigate employee complaints at the Grand Junction Medical Center, and he has led on congressional oversight of the Aurora VA medical center.
