The Congressional Art Competition provides a tremendous opportunity to showcase the wealth of artistic talent in Ohio’s Fifth Congressional District. In 2014, more than 60 students from 11 schools throughout the district submitted their original artwork to this national high school visual art competition, and the winner, Bowling Green High School's Dorothy Gonzales, currently has her artwork on display in the U.S. Capitol for one year.
More than 650,000 high school students have participated in the competition nationwide since it began in 1982. Winners are recognized both in their district and at an annual awards ceremony held in Washington, D.C.
