WASHINGTON, DC – Days after the House passed landmark legislation to help individuals with disabilities, three of its champions in the House will team up to deliver the Weekly Republican Address.

The ABLE Act, which passed the House on Wednesday with 404 votes, amends the Internal Revenue Service code to create tax-free savings accounts for individuals with disabilities.  Rep. Ander Crenshaw (R-FL) first introduced this bipartisan legislation in 2006, and will appear in the weekly address along with House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and House Rules Committee Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX).

McMorris Rodgers previewed the address on Facebook:

The House took a simple, but powerful step to help individuals with disabilities across the country,” House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said yesterday.  “It’s been a long time in the making and I want to thank Ander Crenshaw, and Cathy McMorris Rodgers, and Pete Sessions – three of our members who’ve dedicated an awful lot of time and effort to this project.

The Weekly Republican Address will be available starting tomorrow, Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 6:00 am ET on Speaker.gov and GOP.gov
