Internship Opportunities

Issues: Veterans

The House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs accepts resumes from those interested in interning on Capitol Hill for academic credit. By assisting the Committee, interns will have the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge on how a Congressional Committee works to pass legislation. Interns in the Washington, D.C., office will have an opportunity to learn about the legislative process and the Federal Government by working closely with the legislative and communications staff members.

All internships are unpaid and candidates who are chosen may be responsible for paying their travel and living expenses. However, interns in any office can arrange to receive academic credit for their work. Our internship program is open to all college students, regardless of major. Interested candidates should submit a completed intern application along with their resume.

Please submit your appication via e-mail to varinternship@mail.house.gov.

If you are a member of the Armed Forces who would like to intern with the Committee, please contact your Service Congressional Liaison Office:
