(WASHINGTON) – U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and U.S. Rep. Howard P. “Buck” McKeon (R-CA), Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, sent a letter to President Obama asking detailed questions regarding the Administration’s actions to counter the threat of Iranian activity in the Western Hemisphere. “I am deeply concerned that the Obama Administration has not adequately responded to threats emanating from Iran’s increasing activities in the Western Hemisphere, and that our security is vulnerable as a result. I would like to thank Chairman McKeon for signing this important letter with me. We will continue to do our due diligence to ensure that the U.S. is implementing a policy to protect our nation from the totality of the Iranian threat.

“I look forward to receiving answers from President Obama regarding the questions posed in the letter. It is my hope that we will soon have more clarity about the United States’ response to this growing threat.”
