Today, Representative Ed Royce (R-Fullerton) released the following statement in response to news that West Coyote Hills, located in North Orange County, is one step closer to being saved.

“West Coyote Hills is one of the last remaining natural, open spaces in Orange County. I commend all the parties involved, particularly the volunteers and leaders of Friends of Coyote Hills, for working together to achieve a win-win solution. While this announcement is an important step in the right direction, I continue to urge all parties to work together to achieve a final agreement that preserves West Coyote Hills for generations to come. The West Coyote Hills recreational area serves more than one million people within a seven mile radius, including much of North Orange County and the East San Gabriel Valley. It is a vital wildlife habitat and a valuable outdoor classroom for our students.”
