Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Patrick E. Murphy (FL-18) made the following statement recognizing March as Women's History Month–a national celebration that has occurred annually since 1987. Please click below to view the Congressman's full remarks.

"As we celebrate the tremendous progress that has been made towards equal treatment for women in our nation and pay tribute to the women whose extraordinary efforts have ensured a brighter future for our nation, there is still more work that needs to be done before true equality is achieved. As we commemorate Women's History Month this March, let us rededicate ourselves to fighting for equality and justice, and let us work to make America better for future generations of women and for all Americans, always remembering that when women succeed, America succeeds."
