Following a visit to communities near open-air petroleum coke storage sites in Chicago, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) and U.S. Representative Robin Kelly (D-IL-02) announced they had asked the Centers for Disease Control to study the threat to public health posed by the substance on Monday, December 16.
